Coffee machines for a hair or beauty salon

In a salon, the coffee is made by whoever has wet hands. Clients are in the chair for a colour, a cut, or a treatment, and offering them a drink is part of the appointment.

The machine has to fit around the work, not the other way round.

A drink without leaving the client

A manual espresso machine wants someone at it: grind, tamp, pour, wipe. That is a stylist away from a foil. An automatic bean-to-cup machine grinds whole beans for each cup and pours at a button. Arico installs a Saeco Royal Plus.

A junior, the person on reception, or the client can make the cup. Nobody needs training to press a button.

Pods are the usual alternative

Most salons start with a capsule machine. It is small, and anyone can use it. The cost is the capsule, every cup, for every client and every person working that day. Check your own capsule receipts for a month before deciding it is cheap. Bean-to-cup vs pods sets the two side by side.

Where it goes

Salons are short on bench space. The machine needs a bench, a power point, and water. If the water tap is in the back room, the machine runs from a tank someone fills. A back room or a dispensary bench often works better than the front desk.

We put the machine in. We do not supply milk or cups, and we do not refit the salon. Milk is yours, the same as now.

Count clients and the team

Coffee in a salon follows the appointment book. Count the people working, then add the clients who say yes to a drink.

A working example, not an Arico specification: 5 people at 2 cups a day plus 15 client cups a day, about 7 grams a cup, 22 trading days. That comes to about 3.9 kilograms, so plan around 4 or 5. Long colour days and a busy Saturday move it. The first month corrects the guess.

What it costs the salon

The order is one monthly bean delivery, from as little as 40 cents a cup. The machine, servicing, and tech support are $0 while that order continues. Stop ordering and the arrangement stops. How the free machine works has the terms in one place.

On a normal day, someone empties the grounds, keeps the tank full, and fills the hopper. Any other fault is ours to sort.

Before you ring

Know which bench the machine would sit on, whether there is a power point next to it, and roughly how many clients take a drink in a week. Barbers, beauty rooms, and nail studios answer the same three questions.

We install in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The postcode confirms the salon.

Questions

What is the best coffee machine for a hair salon?

Usually an automatic bean-to-cup machine, so a stylist does not have to leave a client to make a drink. Arico installs a Saeco Royal Plus at $0 while you order beans each month.

Do you supply milk and cups for the salon?

No. We put the machine in and deliver the beans each month. Milk and cups stay with the salon, as they are now.
