Who services the machine when it stops

A commercial coffee machine in an office, or a workplace coffee machine in a warehouse tea room, does not usually die. It clogs, it scales, it throws a code, and then it sits there while someone googles the model number.

The question to ask before you take a machine, free or hired or bought, is not "is there a warranty". It is who comes.

What actually goes wrong

Scale, a blocked spout, a hopper packed down, a tank run dry. None of this is exotic. All of it stops the morning.

A bean-to-cup machine is still a pump, a boiler, a grinder, and a lot of narrow pipes. Ignore it and it will ignore you back.

Warranty is not service

A warranty wants proof of purchase and a fault that counts. It often wants the machine packed and shipped. A floor on a Tuesday wants a drink.

Hire contracts sometimes include call-outs and sometimes bill them. Read the line. Hire versus a free machine is mostly a conversation about who owns that line.

What Arico includes

On our arrangement the Saeco Royal Plus comes with servicing and tech support at $0, for as long as you order beans each month. You press a button; we handle the machine and the coffee. That sentence is the product.

It is not a promise that nothing will ever stop. It is a promise that stopping is our problem, not a job for whoever sits nearest the kitchen. We do not publish a same-day or next-day guarantee on this page. Ask Brian how we handle a stop on your site.

What you still do on site

Empty the grounds. Keep water available. Wipe the spout. Do not store the beans in the fridge. Storage and what to look for in a machine cover the rest.

If a supplier's offer is a cheap machine and a phone tree, you will learn the model number. If you would rather not, put service in the same sentence as the hardware before you say yes.

Questions

Who services an office coffee machine when it stops?

Ask before you take the machine. A warranty often wants the unit boxed and shipped. On Arico's arrangement, servicing and tech support sit at $0 while you order beans each month. We do not publish a same-day promise on this page.

Is a warranty enough for a workplace machine?

A floor on a Tuesday wants a drink. Warranty is proof of purchase and a fault that counts. Service is who you ring. Read the hire contract if you are renting; on our plan, stopping is our problem.
